We can support you in several ways
We can help you:
- Learn how to respond to your child and manage expectations when you have a child with big emotions and behaviors.
- Understand how to navigate requesting and getting support for your child at school. We know the ins and outs of special education.
- Provide a list of potential accommodations for a 504 Plan or IEP based on your child's unique needs.
- Help you find balance between protecting your child from their worries while promoting confidence and independence when you have an anxious child.
- Work with you and your child's school to set up a plan to stay a full day or return to school if your child refuses to go.
- Remind you to give yourself grace if you need it. You are doing the best you can and sometimes you need this reminder when times are tough.
Parent Consultation Sessions
What to Expect:
Prior to our appointment: We will request information about your child, your family, and your learning style.
Appointments can be in person or by Zoom depending on your proximity to Durham, NC.
Your fee covers two appointments: First Appointment: 30 minutes. This meeting is to get additional information from you and to ask questions. We may also email additional questions after the meeting.
Second Appointment: 60 minutes. This meeting is to review a plan of action and/or specific recommendations and allow you to ask questions.
Fee: $225
Additional appointments are $150/hour.
