ABOUT

US

We are here to help!

Some children have delays, conditions or personalities that affect their learning and independence. This keeps them from being able to participate in family outings, follow routines, make friends, and function at school. We are enthusiastic about helping your child be independent with these things, but we aren’t only your child’s therapist–we’re your coach and teammate. We’ll work with you to help your child be successful and give you knowledge and strategies to help you be your best with your child.

Why choose us?

We believe that communication with parents is essential for carryover of what children are learning in therapy. We provide handouts and activities to do at home, and will make time to speak with you to share effective strategies or issues that arise. We really want our sessions to be effective and value your communication and feedback. Emails, texts, and calls are always welcome. We value evidenced-based interventions and strive to find things that fit best for your child and family situation.

Director and Occupational Therapist

Hi! I started Apex OT in 2015. I have been an occupational therapist since 2000 and have been in North Carolina since 2006. I’m an OT “nerd”, always keeping up with research and learning new ways to support parents and children so they can enjoy typical family activities when there are behavioral, sensory, or motor challenges. I spend several days each week contracting to area schools. I believe that children will do well when they can and am inspired by work by Ross Greene and Lynn Lyons. I can be reached at alicia@apexot.com

Rachelle Warren, Administrative Support

Hi! I am Rachelle Warren.  I am a mom to two human kiddos and 2 furry ones. I have worked in early childhood education most of my life. My favorite things are spending time with my kids, cuddling with my kitties and taking long walks. I am so honored to be an employee of Apex Occupational Therapy and to help support a female owned company that helps children and teens be the best versions of themselves!
